Unforgettable Experience in My Life

    I had an unforgettable experience that is I ever won the first place in the Spelling Bee competition. It all started when I was in senior high school. In the beginning, I did not even think about joining an English club or English competition at school, but it turned out that my friend offered me to the teacher who was the chairman of the club. My friend said that I was good at English and the club needed people who want to contribute to some competitions. My teacher also persuaded me to join in. Then, I finally decided to join the club with the aim of gaining some experiences.

    At first, I joined the English club and suddenly was appointed to take a part in the Spelling Bee competition. I was taught and also practiced for the competition about a month before it started. As I approached the competition, I had to fight for with myself. After finishing several rounds, I lost in the middle round. However, I did not give up and kept studying at the English club while looking forward to other competitions.

    The second time, I was back in the Spelling Bee competition. Unfortunately, I still lost in the early rounds even though I had studied hard. I did feel sad but it made me challenged to keep trying. On the other hand, I was also very grateful to have family and friends who always supported me.

    For the third time, I competed again in my third year of senior high school. This time the place of the competition was different from where I did before. I was confident because I studied hard to prove that I could definitely win. Happily, there were not too many competitors and I thought it was my chance to win. I learned a lot from my experience in the two previous competitions. I kept praying that I could finish the competition with satisfying results. After finishing the rounds, I was so happy because my prayer was answered. I successfully won in the Spelling Bee competition by getting the first place. I also was very grateful because I proved that I could do that, even though I had gone through several failures. In conclusion, that was my experience in senior high school that I will never forget. From here I finally learn many things.
